INTRODUCTION:

Bella Bird Boarding provides Bird owners with Bird Boarding & Minding Services. It was formed to help provide pet owners with a peace of mind when not available to care for their feathered pets.

General Admission:

Bella Bird Boarding reserves the right to deny admission of any bird. If a bird is boarding with us and is not picked up by the owner within 14 days after the booked period, or if the owner does not keep us informed of his whereabouts or status then it will be assumed that the owner has disowned the bird and it therefore becomes the property of Bella Bird Boarding. Bella Bird Board reserves the right to take any necessary action to re-home the bird and any amounts owing to Bella Bird Boarding will be recovered as a small claim through the local courts.

Vaccinations:

Please consult your Avian Veterinarian in relation to vaccinating your bird. All birds are to be fully immunised. Although Bella Bird Boarding will not insist on you producing documentary evidence that your bird has received the necessary vaccines, Bella Bird Boarding will not be held liable should any unforeseen circumstances occur.

Veterinary Treatment:

If your pet requires veterinary treatment, it will be at the pet owner’s expense. Payment of veterinary treatment is due at the time of collection or return of the pet. In the case where the owner or the emergency contact cannot be contacted before treatment, the course of treatment shall be at the sole discretion of the attending Veterinarian. In the case where an incident or an illness has occurred and a pet is going through unnecessary pain and considered as inhumane to continue, and no contact with the owner or the emergency contact can be established, the Veterinarian has the permission to euthanize the pet. Bella Bird Boarding will be indemnified from any liability.

If your pet requires any medication, precise written instructions, including the dosage is required. The medication is to be clearly labelled. There will be no additional charge for minding and giving your bird additional attention and an increased level of care, if required in unique circumstances. However, although Bella Bird Boarding will do their best, we will not be held liable if any unforeseen circumstances occur such as your bird passing away as a result of an illness.

It is suggested that you spray your bird a week before boarding. If your bird is found to have fleas, Bella Bird Boarding reserves the right to spray your bird to prevent further scratching and to prevent the fleas from spreading onto other birds.

Free Indoor Flight:

If your bird’s wings are not clipped, they would enjoy the freedom of flight within our premises, however, if your bird injures itself because it is in an unknown territory, Bella Bird Boarding will not be held accountable. Therefore, it is essential that consent is granted by the owner to enable Bella Bird Boarding to allow your bird free flight.

Food:

Basic Food: Pellets & Seeds; Nectar for lorikeets Bella Bird Boarding will provide the basic food including fruit & vegetables for your birds. However, if the pet owner requires anything else other than the basics, the pet owner is required to supply it. If the owner wishes to supply food for the bird, it must be clearly marked with the Birds name and the name and surname of the owner.

Items supplied by the Owner:

All items supplied by the owner such as toys and blankets must be clearly marked or labelled with the bird’s name on it and the name and surname of the owner.

Deposit:

Bella Bird Boarding’s preference is to have a 20% deposit to secure a spot, especially during holidays and public holidays. Although this is not a hard and fast rule, this is a recommended option to avoid disappointment in the event our facility is full.

Long Term Stay:

Advance payment is required if the bird will be staying for an extended period.

Unforeseen Circumstances:

We will contact the owners immediately if there is any incident or for any concerns that may arise whilst your bird is in our care.

Although we take the utmost care when boarding your birds, we cannot accept responsibility for injury, death, loss, illness or damage of any kind that may occur while they are boarding with Bella Bird Boarding. It is suggested that you get Pet Insurance to cover your birds. Although it is difficult to obtain pet insurance in Australia, we have found an insurer right here in Australia that you could consult. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions:

All pet owners wishing to engage our services agree with these terms and conditions. A copy of these terms and conditions must be read, understood & signed. Terms and conditions as well as prices may be changed at any time by Bella Bird Boarding. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and accept Bella Bird Boarding’s terms and conditions for our services.
